INFORMATION

Wells students have many opportunities
to meet and make connections with people who are working in a particular
occupation or living in a particular geographical location. While internships
and summer jobs are an obvious source of networking contacts, Wells alumnae
who return to campus are another excellent source of occupational information
and advice. During the academic year alumnae are on campus as Leaders-in-Residence,
for Alumnae Council and FARGO Board meetings, and as guest speakers for
academic departments.
-
Alumnae Council
September 30 - October 2, 2005
Students are invited to meet formally
and informally with more than 70 alumnae who will be on campus for the
weekend. They represent a wide variety of occupational areas and come from
many areas of the country.
-
FARGO Board
Members of the FARGO Board (Friends
and Recent Graduates Organization) meet on campus several times a year
and are happy to talk with students about their jobs, where they live,
and how they made the transition from college life. They also sponsor "
Sophomore Smash," a program that matches sophomores with alumnae for the
weekend.
-
Networking with Fargo Board
Several members of the FARGO (Friends
and Recent Graduates Organization) will be on campus in the spring of 2006
to speak with seniors about how to build a powerful and caring network.
