Sophomore Rebekah Coons of the softball team, Junior Emily Lotkowictz,  Freshmen Charlotte Fielding, Sophomore Stefanie Miller, Freshmen Gabriella Decker, and Sophomore goalie Liz Barclay all of the women's lacrosse team were named to  NEAC All-Conference teams just released on Thursday.

WOMEN’S LACROSSE FALLS IN SECOND HALF TO HARTWICK

4/23/09
The Wells College women’s lacrosse team lost 16-11 to Hartwick College in non-conference action Thursday afternoon in Aurora. With the loss the Express fall to 5-7 on the year while Hartwick improves to 2-11. Emily Lotkowictz led the Express offense with five goals and two assist while Liz Barclay carried the Express defense in net finishing with 22 saves.

LOTKOWICTZ NAMED NEAC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK FOR THIRD TIME

Junior Emily Lotkowictz was selected as the NEAC Women's Lacrosse Student-Athlete of the Week. Lotkowictz, a midfielder for the Express, was selected for her outstanding offensive effort leading her team to a 1-1 NEAC record for the week. Lotkowictz scored four of the six goals in a 17-6 loss to Cazenovia, and scored seven goals, had six assists, and four groundballs in a victory over Wilson. Lotkowictz receives this award for the third time this season. Lotkowictz has now recorded 58 goals and 14 assist for a total of 72 points on the season.

WOMEN’S LAX DEFEATS MEDAILLE IN TRIPLE OT

Emily Lotkowictz (Skaneateles) scored a season high 12 goals, including the game winning goal 2:21 into the third overtime, as the Wells College women’s lacrosse team defeated Medaille College 16-15 in triple overtime on Monday afternoon in Aurora. With the win the Express improve to 5-6, 3-1 in the NEAC, while the Mavericks fall to 2-7, 1-3 in the NEAC.

WOMEN'S LAX SCORES SEASON HIGH 23 GOALS

4/18/09
The Wells College women’s lacrosse team scored a season high 23 goals on their way to 23-0 shutout victory over NEAC rival Wilson College on Saturday afternoon in Aurora. Eight different players scored in the victory for the Express who, with the win, improve to 4-6 and 1-2 in the NEAC while the Phoenix fall to 2-11 and 0-4 in the NEAC.

WOMEN'S LAX TOPS GREEN MOUNTAIN

The Wells College Express held off a late rally by Green Mountain College to claim a hard-fought 9-7 victory in women's lacrosse action Saturday.  With the win Wells improves to 3-5 while Green Mountain falls to 4-4.

MILLER NAMED SAAC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

4/6/09
Stefanie Miller was named SAAC Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 5th. In two games, the sophomore women's lacrosse player scored five goals on ten shots, while recording 15 groundballs in a 1-1 week for the Express.

The Express will return to action on Saturday, April 11th when they travel Poultney, VT to take on Green Mountain College at 11:00 am.

 

MILLER LEADS WELLS OVER LANCASTER

4/4/09
Stefanie Miller (Cazenovia, NY) scored five goals and Kirsten Musciano (Boonton TWP, NJ) added three goals of her own as the Wells College women’s lacrosse team went on to defeat Lancaster Bible College 13-5 Saturday afternoon in Aurora. Liz Barclay (Laporte, PA) earned the win in net finishing with eight saves.

WELLS DOWNED BY KEUKA

The Wells College women’s lacrosse team ran into a tough defensive team in Keuka College as they would go on to lose 16-2 on Friday afternoon in Keuka. Charlotte Fielding and Kirsten Musciano each had a goal for the Express in the loss. Liz Barclay finished with three saves on the day.

LOTKOWICTZ A STEP ABOVE THE REST

One look at the 5'5" Junior midfielder from Skaneateles, NY and you wouldn't know you were looking at one of the top Division III women's lacrosse players in the country, yet that is the exact reputation Emily Lotkowictz is quickly building herself here at Wells. Through five games with the Express, Lotkowictz has recorded an astounding 31 goals and five assists totaling 36 points on the season.

LOTKOWICTZ EARNS SECOND STRAIGHT NEAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK

3/30/09
Junior Emily Lotkowictz (Skaneateles, NY) was selected as the NEAC Women’s Lacrosse Student-Athlete of the Week. Lotkowictz, a junior midfielder for the Wells College Express, was selected for her outstanding offensive effort despite her team’s 0-2 record for the week. Lotkowictz finished the week with 10 goals on 14 shots, 1 assist, and 10 individual ground balls. Lotkowictz scored 10 goals out of the team’s 13 goals, scoring 6 goals with 1 assist against Oswego State University, and 4 goals against Alfred University. She was also 11-for-16 on face-offs in those two games. Emily receives this award for the second times this season.

LAKERS THUMP WOMEN'S LACROSSE

3/28/09
The Oswego State Lakers scored 16 goals in the first half en route to a 22-8 thumping of the Wells College women’s lacrosse team on Saturday afternoon in Aurora. Emily Lotkowictz (Skaneateles, NY) finished with six goals and Ariella Taft (Cazenovia, NY) added two goals of her own to lead the Express offense. Liz Barclay (Laporte, PA) took the loss in net finishing with 11 saves on the day.

ALFRED TOO MUCH FOR WOMEN'S LAX

3/25/09
The Alfred University women's lacrosse team rolled over the Express 12-5 on Wednesday afternoon in Aurora. The undefeated Saxons improve to 2-0 on the season while the Express lost their second straight falling to 1-3 on the season. Emily Lotkowictz (Skaneateles, NY) finished with four goals and eight groundballs while Charlotte Fielding (Queensbury, NY) had a goal and an assist to lead the Express.

LOTKOWICTZ NAMED NEAC STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

3/23/09
Junior midfielder Emily Lotkowictz (Skaneateles, NY) was named North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Women's Lacrosse Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 22, 2009. Lotkowictz scored eight goals and had one assist while leading her team in ground balls with eight  in the Express'16-11 loss to Morrisville State College on Sunday. Lotkowictz now has 21 goals and four assist in three games for the Express.

The Wells College women's lacrosse team (1-2) lost 16-11 to Morrisville State College (2-1) in non-conference action Sunday afternoon in Chittenango. Emily Lotkowictz (Skaneateles, NY) led the Express with eight goals and an assist while Charlotte Fielding (Queensbury, NY) added two goals and Gabriella Decker (Encinitas, CA) finished with one goal.

LOTKOWICTZ NAMED SAAC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

3/11/09
Junior attack Emily Lotkowictz (Skaneateles, NY) was named SAAC Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 8th. Lotkowictz scored nine goals and recorded three assists in the women's lacrosse 19-3 victory over Maritime College on Sunday. Lotkowictz also led the team in ground balls with seven. With her nine goals, Lotkowictz now brings her season total to 13 goals in two games.

 

LOTKOWICTZ SCORES NINE GOALS: EXPRESS BLOWOUT MARITIME COLLEGE

Emily Lotkowictz (Skaneateles, NY) scored nine goals and had three assists as the Wells College women's lacrosse team went on to blowout Maritime College 19-3 Sunday afternoon in Throggs Neck, NY. Liz Barclay (Laporte, PA) earned the win in net finishing with five saves.

WOMEN'S LACROSSE DROPS SEASON OPENER TO ITHACA

3/2/09
Ithaca College scored 13 goals in the first half en-route to a 19-4 victory over the Wells women's lacrosse team on Saturday afternoon at Cornell. The Express were led by Emily Lotkowictz (Skaneateles, NY) who scored all four goals on six shots, while finishing with four ground balls. Goalie Liz Barclay (Newcastle, ME) finished with seven saves on the day. Kirsten Musciano (Boonton TWP, NJ) also had an assist.
