11/28/2009

Aurora, NY– Senior’s Juan Pualino (Bronx, N.Y.) and Darrell Bullock (Chicago, IL) each had 14 second half points as the Wells College men’s basketball team rolled to a 70-60 victory over the visiting Hamilton College Continentals on Saturday afternoon at Wells. Paulino finished with 18 points and 18 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season, while Bullock finished with a team high 19 points to lead the Express. Pat Sullivan (Madison, N.J.) had a game high 23 points for the Continentals who fell to 2-1 on the season. With the victory the Express improve to 3-2 on the year.

Down 29-26 entering the second half, the Express would claw back to take a two point lead on a jumper by Bullock, sparking a 7-0 run that would give the Express a 41-34 lead they would never relinquish at 14:58.

Hamilton would rally back to within one point, 43-42, at 11:32, but freshmen Matt Duffy (Huntington, N.Y.) answered with a three-pointer and a lay-up by Greg Jones (Alexandria, VA) extended the Express lead to six with 8:03 remaining.

It wasn’t until late in the second half that the Express would take over, going on 14-5 run, capped by a three-pointer by Rionn Pradia (Houston, TX) and a pair of free-throws by Duffy, giving Wells a commanding 66-55 lead with 51 seconds remaining.
