11/21/2009

Aurora, NY– The Medaille College Mavericks used a suffocating defense in the final minutes holding on to defeat the Wells Express 78-73 in men’s basketball action Saturday afternoon at Medaille. The Mavericks were led by Keith Hack who finished with 24 points and seven rebounds. Senior Darrell Bullock led the Express with a game high 29 points while sophomore Greg Jones chipped in with 20 points. The loss drops the Express to 1-2 while the Mavericks stay undefeated at 3-0.

Down by four points heading into the break, the two teams would spend the second half in a back and forth battle with the lead changing hands six times in the half.
