We insist that you undergo a PPE for the following reasons:

  • We want to help you prevent injuries and illnesses.

  • We want to establish a medical basis for your participation.

  • We must comply with the NCAA requirement that all athletes be medically cleared for participation.

If you are a returning athlete that has already competed within intercollegiate athletics at Wells College you may not need to complete a PPE. However, in certain circumstances you will need a PPE. If you were/are injured since the last season of intercollegiate athletic participation, have acquired a disease and/or condition, or it has been one or more years since you have competed within intercollegiate athletics. If none of the prior circumstances have occurred you will need to only complete an updated health form.
