Express Ready For Action In 2008-2009

Wells College will compete for the first time as a NCAA division III collegiate basketball program during the 2008-2009 season.  The Express will enter the inaugural season as a member of the North Eastern Athletic Conference.  Coach Wojtylko is optimistic about the prospects of the first season and has spent the entire 2007-2008 academic year recruiting players from across the country.  Coach Wojtylko said, "we are excited and motivated about the challenge of creating a brand new program and we look forward to competing in the NEAC.  We are recruiting student-athletes that have a desire to set their own path and don't want to simply follow the paths of others.  We are recruiting student-athletes that want to be part of history,  that want to graduate from a nationally recognized liberal arts school, that want to take pride in having ownership of a new program and be part of something special here at Wells."  The Express will begin this journey on October 15, 2008 when the first practice will be held.
