Wells Men's Lacrosse Drops
First Ever Contest
The inaugural season for
the men's Express lacrosse team started off with a tough loss in the rain
at Lycoming College. The game was highlighted by a rare feat as freshman
Justin Zehr, Syracuse, NY, not only recorded the first save in school history
but he also recorded the first goal. The Express will now turn their
attention to Brockport as they will host them this weekend at Cornell University.

Jim Toldi enters
his first year as the head coach of the Wells College men’s lacrosse program
and is tasked with building a new lacrosse program to compete at the NCAA
Division III level. The Express will take the field for its inaugural season
this spring.
Toldi came to Wells in the
fall of 2007 as the College’s first Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach and
prior to start of their inaugural season he was named the Head Coach.
Coach Toldi, a West Genesee
High School (Camillus, NY) graduate, played collegiately for the Bearcats
of Binghamton University. Serving as the team captain his Senior season.
Prior to coming to Wells
Toldi served as the defensive coordinator for West Seneca East High School
Boys Lacrosse team (2003-2007). During his 4-year stint the Trojans made
the playoffs every year and produced the school’s first two All-Americans
in any sport.
A native of Camillus, NY,
Coach Toldi is single and resides in Seneca Falls, NY.
