A 64-point second half by the Wells College men’s basketball
team led to a 100-56 thumping of NEAC opponent Keuka College on Tuesday night at
Keuka. Darrell Bullock (Chicago, IL) led all scorers with 23 points, while Craig
Gaylord (Alexandria, VA) finished with16 points, Greg Jones (Alexandria, VA)
chipped in with 15-points, and Juan Paulino (Bronx, NY) recorded his fourth
straight double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
Wells entered the second half with a 36-21 lead and
never looked back cruising to the 44-point victory, the largest margin of
victory for the season. As a team the Express shot an impressive 65.7%
from the field during the second half while the 64-points scored in the second
half is the highest point total for a half on the season. The 100-point output
marks the first time in school history that Wells has hit the century mark.
The Express improve to 5-7 on the season and have now
won four out five games. Wells will next travel to Poultney, VT to take on
Green Mountain College on Thursday, January 8th, at 6:00 pm.
