Transfer Students

Transfer students may enroll at Wells in the fall or spring semester after completing at least one semester at another institution. Students transfer to Wells from junior and community colleges, as well as from four-year institutions. They vary in age, background and life experience, but share one very important characteristic: their commitment to education.

Wells College defines a transfer student as one who has accrued the equivalent of one semester (12 semester hours) or more of college credit following secondary school graduation. Although a student may transfer up to 60 semester hours, she must complete 60 semester hours at Wells to fulfill the college's residency requirement.

Students wishing to transfer to Wells should be in good academic standing at the last college attended. Additionally, Wells will only transfer course credits towards the Wells degree from institutions that are fully regionally accredited.
