The psychology major at Wells College prides itself on its range of courses in the areas of counseling and clinical, cognitive, biological, social, and developmental psychology. The major is committed to continually examining and incorporating diversity in the psychology curriculum. Students who major in psychology are able to connect their classroom experience to real-world applications through internships, and our graduates are successful in a wide variety of graduate programs and professional positions.

The total number of courses required for the major is 14 (43-45 semester hours). At least six of the courses taken for the major must be at the 300-level or above. No more than one internship may be taken to meet the requirements for the major. Taking at least one research methods course (PSY 360L, PSY 365L) before the end of the junior year is strongly recommended.
