[General Description of the Wells College Study Program in Florence]

All courses listed, except language courses, are 3 credit hours. Language courses are 3, 4, 6, 9 or 18 credit hours. Students taking Italian for 6 credits can take three other courses.  Students taking Italian for 9 credits (Intensive) can only take two other courses.  Students taking Italian for 18 credits (Superintensive) cannot take any other course.  The program reserves the right to make changes/deletions in course offerings at any time without prior notice.

Italian Language

Classroom in Florence[NOTE: Students who have already studied Italian must take a placement test. Placement is based on the student's knowledge of written and spoken Italian. It is not based on the number of semesters they have studied Italian at their university in America. Once the initial level has been decided by the teachers at IBIS/LAM, it cannot be changed. (All beginners will start at the first level.)
