Professor Shilepsky
is involved in a variety of areas of mathematics and its applications,
including computer science and statistics. He was instrumental in bringing computer literacy to the Wells campus and conordinated academic computing for twenty years. He also developed the three-two
engineering program at Wells and introduced courses in discrete
mathematics. On his last sabbatical, he studied the Google search
engine and the mathematics behind it. Professor Shilepsky is the Chair of the Pre-Health Professions Advisory Group and helps
students plan and prepare for professional schools in the health
area, including medical, dental and veterinary medical schools.
