Professor Hildahl asks
his students important questions about social issues. In his classroom,
students ponder things like, “What are the most important
social consequences of the Internet?” In this sort of discovery,
students begin to see the complex and simple relationship between
people. They discuss policies and behaviors, and their consequences.
And while they are thinking, Professor Hildahl helps them realize
their intellectual and professional achievements. What he likes
best about his discipline is the process of discovering the simultaneous
complexity and simplicity of social bonds between people. His students
discover that seemingly simple policies or behaviors can have unexpected
consequences.
